Farm Season Ends
As of yesterday, December 22nd, 2021, I am done working on the farm. Most likely forever. It’s bittersweet to say the least. For one I have spent over a quarter of my life working there, learning and growing more than I can ever express. On the other hand all good things must come to an end, and I need to continue my journey in life. I don’t intend to be a stranger of course. If my plans work out I will still be in Vermont, so always within a hour or two drive to visit.
Cyber Security, hopefully. INFOSEC jobs tend to be in short supply here in VT but there are always some that pop up from time to time. Things are especially slow with the holiday season so I guess I’m going to be forced to take some time off and enjoy life for a bit. Don’t think I’m very good at that to be honest. These next few weeks are going to be tough. I can already feel the inklings of seasonal depression seeping into my mind, and the isolation of only really being at home may make it worse. Finding to motivation to do what I need to is going to be key to keeping afloat here. Along with finding the motivation to enjoy myself, to start hobby projects and keep up with them. Or god forbid actually completing a video game for once. We’ll see I guess.
I’ll leave you with what graced my exit from the farm. A gorgeous Vermont winter sunset.
